Development is where I pull all of my skills together to create high class web sites or programs. Recently most of my projects have been for my university degree with a few projects for actual clients. I am always looking to undertake new projects; so if you think I've got what you're looking for please do not hesitate to get in touch via the contact section. Take a look at my current and recent projects below:
Take a look at what I'm currently doing. Feedback and ideas are always welcome.
Rí - Rá is my major project for my university degree. Rí - Rá, as the brand suggests, is an interactive tutorials web site for the Irish language for kids. Incorporating most of the skills learned over the course of my degree, Rí - Rá is mostly Flash based along with a lot of illustration work. Click the image on the left to get a better idea of what's involved.
This project has been running for the duration of the final year of my degree, from October 2007 and is due to finish in May 2008.
Research for this project can be seen in my research blog and the current progress can be seen in my Design Blog. The full project can be seen at www.ri-ra.ie.
GMG Property Development is a Northern Ireland based property development company. Currently planning and development is underway for this project. The full project can be seen at www.gmgpropertydev.com.
Here a look at the projects I have been working on recently. Comments are always appreciated.
A lot of development work has gone into my portfolio web site where I've tried to display as many of my skills as possible. I didn't want a static site displaying only recent work, so I have split everything up into different sections to display my corresponding skills. This web site is continuously being updated, so check back often.
An XML based assignment where a storage system was created to facilitate the digital storage of undergraduate projects in XML and viewing in XHTML using XSLT and CSS. A comprehensive DTD had to be created along with an XSLT stylesheet to transform the XML into XHTML and CSS. Click the corresponding links to view the DTD, XML, XSL and HTML files.
Al Dente was a live brief for homemade pasta and sauce maker Justin Nicholl. The brief included a full re-branding of the company and web site creation. I feel I created a simple and clean design to reflect Justin's business model. The completed project can be seen here.
A Visual Basic assignment as part of my final year degree course; where a music and record management system to facilitate administration, sales and online media downloads was developed. A full write up of the project can be seen here.
